1. Large conveying capacity. It can continuously transport material at rates ranging from a few kilograms per hour to thousands of metric tons, which is far more efficient than using trains and/or trucks.

2. High reliability. With a simple structure and light moving parts, its life expectancy is estimated to last up to about 10 years as long as the conveyor belt is not torn. Its metal structure and parts will still be in good shape for decades with effective rust prevention and corrosion control.

3. Low operating costs. Carrier rollers and drums are the only two worn parts of the Extendable Belt Conveyor. The conveyor has a long lifespan belt and a high degree of automation, very few workers are needed. 

4. Low energy consumption and high efficiency. 

1. Simple in structure. The Extendable Belt Conveyor is composed of a drive drum, a turnabout drum, a trough idler, a parallel idler, a driving device, a conveyor belt and other parts. These parts can be mass produced and assembled differently according to your needs.

2. By using the belt storage device to extend or shorten the belt, the transport capability, recovery rate, and excavation speed can be significantly increased.

3. The non-fixed parts of the belt conveyor uses a boltless structure which is easy to change and time-efficient. The fixed parts of the belt conveyor uses an electric Drive Belt Tensioner instead of a manual tensioner.

4. The sizes and specifications of the trough idlers, return idlers and turnabout drums are unified, so they are all interchangeable. The electrical parts of the belt conveyor is explosion-proof, hence it can be used in wells filled with coal dust and gas.

The Extendable Belt Conveyor is mainly used for trough transport of the fully-mechanized coalface, and can also be used for down-channel conveying of general coalface and roadway excavation and conveying; and the conveyor belt has a storage device; and with the face constantly moving forward, the down-channel length shall constantly change or the length of roadway excavation shall change, in order to meet the need to be shortened or elongated.

1. Convey a variety of bulk and packaged materials with a density range of 500 to 2,500 kg/m3.

2. The applicable working environment temperature is generally between -40℃(-40℉) and 40℃(104℉). For those who require a heat-resistant, cold-resistant, anti-corrosion, explosion-proof, and/or flame-resistant working environment, a special rubber conveyor belt should be used and protective measures should be taken accordingly. Different conveyor belts have different required temperature to convey materials. The temperature of the conveying materials should not be higher than 60℃(140℉) when using a standard conveyor; the temperature of the conveying materials can reach up to 120℃(248℉) when using a heat-resistant rubber belt conveyor; when conveying acidic, alkaline, oily materials and/or materials with organic solvent, it is necessary to choose an oil-resistant, acid-resistant, and alkali-resistant rubber or plastic belt conveyor.
