Three-dimensional Wound Core Transformer

The S13-M.RL Three-dimensional Wound Core Transformer has abandoned the traditional planar structure, and adopted a symmetrical three-phase three-dimensional structure. The advantages include but not limited to: no air gap in the magnetic circuit, winding is more compact, the magnetic direction of the silicon steel strip is completely consistent, three core columns are arranged in the shape of equilateral triangle, and the lengths of the three magnetic circuits are consistent and short, there are no waste materials during the processing,etc. Therefore, it is a high-efficient and energy-saving transformer that uses traditional materials but has lower noise and compact structure. The outstanding performance (especially in loss reduction and materials saving) of this type of transformer, completely meets the energy saving principles in China, and it is widely used in the high-rise buildings, commercial centers, airports, tunnels, chemical factories, nuclear power stations, ships and other important or special environments.

  • 1. Low Noise: compact design, with new materials and new process, noise reduction, no oil conservator, height is lower than that of similar products. Oil change is not required within the general life span, which improves the safety and reliability of power grid operation.

    2. Vacuum oil filling process is adopted for transformer sealing, which completely eliminates th dampness in the transformer oil tank. The transformer is not in contact with air after sealing, which effectively prevents the decline in insulation property (insulation material and oil aging) caused by the oxygen and moisture entering the transformer. Therefore, oil sample test does not need to be conducted regularly.

    3. Reliable long service life: the bolted connecting structure is adopted for the fully sealed box cover and box edge, so as to isolate contact between oil and air. Insulation will not be affected with damp, which greatly reduces insulation aging speed and improves service life.

    4. Smaller Size and Artistic Design, the oil tank adopts corrugated plate radiator. When the oil temperature changes, the volumn will change and be compensated by the swell-shrink of the corrugated sheets accordingly. The corrugated tank has artistic design, smaller size and floor area.

    5. No Lifting Core Inspectation: it is not required to check the lifting core before operating the fully sealed transformer, and the user can save the expense for core inspection.

    6. Maintenance-free: maintenance is not required.

  • 1. Low Losses

    According to the current international GB/T6451-1999 Specification and Technical Requirements for Oil-immersed Power Transformers, the no-load losses of S13-M.RL series with capacity of 30-1600kVA is reduced by 50% in average, and the load losses are reduced by 30% in average.

    2. Low No-load Current

    The no-load current is significantly reduced due to excellent wound core material and winding processing. According to current national standard GB/T6451-1999, the no-load current of S13-M.RL series is reduced by 75% in average.

    3. Low Operating Noise

    According to JB/T10088-1999 Noise Standards, the noise of S13-M.RL series is reduced by about 7-9dB.

    4. Strong Anti-short Circuit Ability

    The transformer body has a three-dimensional triangular prism shape, the tensile rod is arranged at the surrounding and in the middle, and it is integrated with the upper and lower iron yoke insulation and laminated wood, which can effectively withstand the axial and radial mechanical stress in case of sudden short circuit.

    5. Iron Core

    Adopts a high-quality, high-permeability, and low-loss cold-rolled silicon sheets. It also adopts a three-phase three-column three-dimensional symmetrical structure, which has the most balanced three-phase magnetic circuit. Each coil is wound with the thin steel strip on the special iron core winding machine, and the pressure is even and firm. The iron core frame is subjected to a vacuum annealing treatment, so as to eliminate pressure, and improve electromagnetic performance. The surface of the iron core is applied with epoxy resin coating for damp-proofing and solidification.

    6. Windings

    The paper-wrapped copper flat wire adopts a 99.99% oxygen-free copper rod. The low-voltage coil is either a double-layer or four-layer round copper, or a new screw or foil type. The high-voltage coil is a multi-layer cylinder type. The coil oil duct has a corrugated structure, and the inter-laminar insulation is made of double-sided tape. The low-voltage and high-voltage surfaces are added with the epoxy resin semi-viscous glass-fiber tape, so as to enhance mechanical strength.

    7. Body and Leading Wires

    The upper and lower iron yoke insulation is made of insulating paper board. The balance block insulation is made of laminated wood. The laminated paper board is adopted as the supporting frame for leads. All fasteners are lock-nuts that can be effectively locked.

    8. Oil Tank

    It Is a fully-sealed corrugated tank with a triangular structure. All three phases adopt corrugated sheets to guarantee that the cooling and compensation will change according to the oil temperature and will result in the change of the oil contraction and expansion. The oil level gauge with the pressure release valve is installed on the box cover to facilitate oil refill and observation of the oil level height and release pressure for safety protection in case of overpressure due to unexpected failure inside the transformer.

    3. The waveform of the supply voltage is similar to sine wave;

    4. The supply voltage connected with the multi-phase transformer shall be approximately symmetrical.
